For me, this is a time of reflection. It's a time to sit back and relax...I work from home for the next little while and focus on my family and bask in what we've accomplished in 2016. I could easily focus on all of the challenges that came with 2016, but when you come from a place of abundance and trust that everything happens the way that it's supposed to, you can look back and see the gifts. Sharing a few tips to bring fresh energy to your home in 2017 too!
Do you find it challenging to receive? Giving is easy, but someone gives you something and you don't have anything in return. Do you feel bad and can't accept that gift wholeheartedly?
It took me over 40 years to finally learn how to receive. And it almost took losing a friend. I'm going to share an email from the universe that I received that changed things for me.
I'm going to share a few secrets with you. I have been literally watching my dreams unfold for at least 10 years. It might sound hard to believe, but the documentary The Secret, changed my life. I learned about the Law Of Attraction and I began to use it and see magical things happen. It was 2009 when I saw an example of this work in a HUGE way. I landed a job as a morning radio show host without radio experience. From this experience and many others, I know what it takes to manifest your reality, and I want to share what I've learned so you can apply it to your own life (and live the life you deserve to live!)
I'd like to talk to you about accountability. Being responsible for the things you say you're going to do. I see this as an increasingly huge problem. People say they're going to do something and then cancel at the last minute.
Because I come from the philosophy that everything happens the way it's meant to and I trust it, I can easily move forward. But I still can't help but feel that I'm seeing this too often. Are you socially accountable? I have a few suggestions to help you with social etiquette.
I remember about a year ago feeling extremely overwhelmed with the amount of laundry I had to do. I had gone from one to two kids, and the laundry doubled. My partner offered to help and I was so grateful. Later, when I went into our laundry room, there were four piles of clean clothes on the floor. Nothing was folded or put away and overwhelm turned to panic and I knew it was time to create a laundry system.
But here's the funny thing about systems: if you're not consistent, you'll easily find your way back to overwhelm. And I'll be honest, I'm not completely happy with our laundry situation right now, so I'm currently working to find a better solution. But I want to share a few things that make it more manageable and help you feel happiness instead of overwhelm.
I can remember feeling extremely powerless as I learned that a lot of women I knew were getting divorced; a few were really close friends, too. I tried to help and offer words of advice — that's just what I naturally do — but it was too late.
It made me sad to know that they had reached the point of no return. That's when you've mentally moved out. You start picturing yourself in a new home and, really, you've made up your mind that it's over. And I've been there. I get it. Some relationships are not meant to last forever.
If you're not there yet, and you're in a committed relationship that you want to make work, then I'd like to share my perspective on relationships with you... to help you keep the love you have in your life.
It's time to talk serious about something that has become a really huge issue. This is actually one of the reasons I felt compelled to do a podcast in the first place. Technology. It's amazing! How incredible to have answers to everything at our fingertips, but there's a time and a place for it. And yet somehow it's become integrated into everything we do.
Multitasking while on your phone isn't being mindful about what you're doing at all! Join me to find more peace in your day with technology.
1010Zen for me is a way of life. It's about keeping a positive attitude, being mindful and present in my actions, being grateful for everything and trusting that everything that happens is the best possible thing. It's about dreaming BIG and believing that I deserve to live a beautiful life. We all deserve to live a beautiful life.
I'm at a phase in my life where I am running a business around raising my family. And my girls are 1 and 3. So I'm in the creating systems phase of my life — always strategizing the best way to do things so that I can be the best hands on mom while still being productive in my business.
