16. Love Languages

I wanted to check in after Valentine's Day. I've heard from a few people that they had expectations for something more and were disappointed. And I remember feeling this way after my first Valentine's Day with my partner, Deryk.  So I want to share how I overcame this disappointment as well as tell you about something fabulous that I learned on CityLine recently, that can totally help you in your relationship.

14. Find The You, YOU Love

It's the month of love. The perfect time to talk about where it all starts.  It starts with YOU.
With loving yourself. Are you happy? If you're not happy with who you are, how can you truly be happy in a relationship with someone else?

So for today's podcast, I'd like to share with you some of the things I did to find myself again after a 7 & 1/2 year relationship and how I stay committed to taking care of myself first.

3. Nurturing Love

I can remember feeling extremely powerless as I learned that a lot of women I knew were getting divorced; a few were really close friends, too. I tried to help and offer words of advice — that's just what I naturally do — but it was too late.

It made me sad to know that they had reached the point of no return. That's when you've mentally moved out. You start picturing yourself in a new home and, really, you've made up your mind that it's over. And I've been there. I get it. Some relationships are not meant to last forever.

If you're not there yet, and you're in a committed relationship that you want to make work, then I'd like to share my perspective on relationships with you... to help you keep the love you have in your life.
