The Power Of Positive Thought

If you’ve been following my podcast, you already know this about me...I’m a BIG believer in the power of a positive mindset. Positive thoughts partnered with belief can manifest some really incredible things. I’ve seen some real magic happen in my life!

A positive mindset or positive thinking is more than just looking at life with a positive attitude. It’s about the positive self talk.  What are you telling yourself? There are so many thoughts that run through our heads every minute of the day and what we believe matters! If the majority of these thoughts are negative or self-defeating, it’s hard to look at life from a positive perspective. However, if the majority of these thoughts are positive, then we can look at life with optimism and openness. 

Now positive self talk is easier said than done. I started reading self help books and about Buddhism in 2002 and they’ve helped to shape who I am and what I believe in. And for me positive self talk is now just a natural way of being. But this wasn’t always the case. It takes practice to keep our thoughts positive.  And one of the things that I’ve been practicing for years to help my thoughts stay positive is to say positive affirmations and specifically “I AM’ statements which are SO powerful!!! I say a list of 'I AM' statements out loud every morning as I light my incense and listen to the spa channel and stretch my body.  And I do this in front of my little girls - so they too can start talking positively to themselves, even though they don’t fully understand what it is they’re actually doing. 

And that leads me to my newest project! I was hard at work in my Dad’s workshop, learning to measure and cut wood...and I’m very excited to announce,

Soul Signs!!

This has been my side passion project for the past 6 months.  Basically I took my personal morning routine of daily affirmations and put it on a gorgeous cedar board so that you can hang it on your wall and read it every single day. The idea is that you can practice this type of positive self talk, taking time to relate, resonate and to believe what you’re reading. When you practice positive self talk daily, you’ll begin to fully realize your value and self worth and truly begin to live a happier life from a more positive perspective.
