Feels Like Home

So I’m adding to our family.

And I’m super excited.

Punch is an 8 year old golden retriever who was found wandering the streets in Turkey. He’s actually still there now, but he’s been rescued by an organization based out of Toronto and will fly here soon.

The decision feels more than right. I haven’t even met Punch yet but already he feels like home.  We have so much love to offer him.

The really cool thing is that he wasn’t my first choice. But I know he’s the perfect fit for my family.

I filled out the application form for him by accident. The dog I initially thought I wanted was only a year old. And there was a lot of interest in her, so she was adopted quickly. But I trusted it. I knew that the perfect dog for us would come. And when the rescue organization offered me Punch, I took some time to consider him. The universe gave me 3 very clear signs that he was the one.

One, my sister also has a dog named Punch, which I knew but I didn’t realize his age.

Two, he’s also 8.

And three, my budget was $500, which I quickly realized was unrealistic with prices at $850-$1000 for rescues. Except for Punch. He’s exactly $500.

I couldn’t ignore all of the synchronicities.

He’s also described as calm and easy-going and he loves kids and loves to be brushed. All the things I was looking for.

And that’s why this decision feels like home. Because I’ve learned to trust my instincts and to let the universe guide me.

When you ask the questions and you listen, the answers do come.

So…my message to you…

Do the things that feel like home.

Listen to your heart.

Trust your instincts.

And make the hard decisions, if you have to. It’s worth it to get to this place of peace.

Wishing you more peace, balance, happiness, vibrant health and lasting love.
