Reviving Friendships

Over the past week I have connected with 5 of my girlfriends on video chat. And really this past year I’ve taken full advantage of connecting virtually with friends and family, as I’m sure you’ve done your fair share of as well.  I even arranged  a mini reunion with old elementary school friends a few months back and that was SO fun.  We were all in need of a catch up.  And it was so good to see their beautiful faces and see the growth we’ve all made.

While some I hadn’t seen in 25 years,  the others were more recent and I was missing them like crazy. One incredible friendship hadn’t been nurtured for 2 years and my old best friend and I finally rekindled our friendship after 6 years.  It’s amazing what moving 45 minutes away and starting a family can do.  And in the case with my best friend, a misunderstanding. But I truly believe that no amount of time is too long when it comes to telling people what’s in our heart.

And reconnecting even if only on video chat was so good for my soul!!  And when I told my girlfriend Andrea that, she actually thanked me for the compliment.

The friends I have in my life are incredible. They are real and sweet and super thoughtful women.  And although some friendships end for a reason and we’re truly meant to move forward, some are worth reviving.

So if there’s someone that always comes to mind for you, and it’s been years since you chatted, send them a message. Open the door. And then give them time and trust the response. Perhaps they’ve been missing you too.

Wishing you peace, balance, happiness, vibrant health and passionate love.
