Do Something Different
I have a lot of spare time these days. My girls are with me half of the time and those are the days that are full on. And I love them for all the love and chaos that they are and for everything they teach me. But the days I have to myself, since I’m not currently working; offer so much free time and I truly feel grateful for the balance in my life.
I have the space to explore and try new things and get creative and push myself outside of my comfort zone. And this then allows me to learn more about myself and who I am. And that’s what I feel like we should all be doing. The things that our soul is asking for. The experiences we’re curious about. Answer questions for things we’ve been wanting to know. And obviously we’re limited by our current reality, but that doesn’t mean we stop learning or stop asking questions and seeking answers.
So think about what you can be exploring both internally and externally. Now is always a good time to get to know yourself more intimately. Maybe it’s painting, cooking or baking….meditating, tapping, or reading tarot cards. Maybe it’s journaling and reflection. Maybe it’s time to learn more about your physical body and experiment with intermittent fasting. Learning who you are and what your body desires is incredibly satisfying. Being aligned with who you are has multiple rewards. And if you’re in a place of fear, if you can’t move past that, sit with it for a while. Ask yourself where the fear is coming from. And keep asking until you get to the root. The more time you spend alone, the more comfortable you’ll become with yourself and the more open you’ll be to exploring all parts of who you are.
